A shaky inning by Kimbrel gives Toronto the win
While today’s win went to Tim Mayza, Alek Manoah continues to shine as Toronto’s break-out rookie pitcher. His focus is a pleasure to watch, but his lack of fear of throwing inside understandably enerves most teams. I don’t think José Abreu or Luis Robert enjoyed getting hit by a pitch. Lance Lynn also pitched a solid seven innings and unfortunately didn’t get the decision because of a poor inning by Craig Kimbrel, who let the Blue Jays score on some wild pitches.
