Jose Berrios’ unsteady first inning sinks the Blue Jays

Game Recap | Box Score

In what was easily his weakest start of the season, Jose Berrios gave up four runs on six hits in the first to seal the game’s fate. Giving up nine of the White Sox’ eighteen hits in three innings, it was clear that Jose hadn’t yet settled in with his new team and situation.

On the other hand, Chicago’s Dylan Cease pitched a seven-inning gem with seven strikeouts and only one big mistake, giving up a solo home run to Corey Dickerson. José Abreu also had a strong game, starting the first with a 3-run home run plus two more hits in the second and the sixth.
