A rare weekday afternoon game plus the end of the school year equals a packed stadium full of kids there to squeal and cheer and giggle. In all seriousness, it was nice to see the place full with over 45,000 people. My seats were pretty deep down the 3rd baseline in section 129R, so I had to pay careful attention to the ball. This part of the park is infamous for popups, foul balls and screaming line drives.
It was a very traditional Blue Jays game with all 5 runs scored on 3 home runs by Russell Martin, Edwin Encarnacion & Troy Tulowitzki. It was fitting that Edwin homered on Edwing T-Shirt giveaway day.
