It’s been 45 years since the Reds had an inning like the 2nd

One of the best parts of my job is that I get to work with clients all over North America.
While it isn’t a business development strategy — officially — I do have to admit when I see that there is an opportunity to work with a prospective client in a city with a baseball stadium I haven’t yet visited, I get a little bit excited.

After a pre-game drink at Yard House, I ended up spending a rainy evening with the Reds & Pirates on the banks of the Ohio River at Great American Ballpark.

The highlight of the game was the grand slam home run by Jose Iglesias to cap off the 10-run bottom of the 2nd for Cincinnati. Fun fact, every player in the Reds lineup scored a run in this inning, and the last time this happened in Cincinnati was September 3, 1975, against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Pirates did what they could to climb back into the game, and answered with their own grand slam home run by Colin Moran in the top of the 6th. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough, and the Red held on to win 11-6 to win their third game in a row.
