New York Yankees 4 – Toronto Blue Jays 2

Yankees vs. Blue Jays, March 30th, 2018

Tanaka shines, Drury & Wade carry the Yankees to victory

Game Recap | Box Score

With Tyler Wade’s bases-loaded double in the 6th to score Gregorius and Walker, it was clear that Aaron Sanchez wouldn’t get a chance to finish the mess he started. Masahiro Tanaka, on the other hand, was solid, allowing only three hits, striking out either and allowing just one run on a homer by Randal Grichuk. With Stanton and Judge silent, it was the bottom of the batting order that did the most damage, demonstrating the frightening depth of their lineup.

Fan observation of the day: I sat down next to two teenage boys who spent the first inning talking about baseball like they thought they were experts in the game. In the second inning, they got distracted by their phones and didn’t watch one moment of the game. By the third inning, they finished their second beer, got up and left.
