Perfect Game: Dallas Braden
In front of just over 12,000 fans, yet another journeyman starting pitcher manages to produce one of the most unlikely feats in baseball, a perfect game.
One of the sweetest things that I discovered about this game is that it was Mother’s Day, and Dallas’ grandmother, Peggy Lindsey was in the stands. His mother had passed away when he was in high school and it was Peggy who took him in and continued to raise him.
Unfortunately, his career ended the following year after posting only eighteen innings, thanks to nagging shoulder problems.
