Attended by Daigo Fujiwara: Was raining all day, but turned out to be a nice night by the time game got started. Our Red Sox were facing undefeated Baltimore Orioles. Our young catcher, Blake Swihart, had a rough night. A key dropped ball in foul territory in the 6th (and Clay Buchholz allowed a home run, a LONG one, right after it, to Trumbo), tough double play in 2nd (though J.J. Hardy should be credited for that catch), and couldn’t score a run with bases-loaded (a rare two-HBP-in-a-row) in the 4th. On the bleacher, though the story of the day was David Ortiz. The park gave away his 500 home run necklace, and on his first at bat, he hits a two run homah! On the cold Boston-April-school-night, the game was over for us by 7th, when J.J. Hardy hit his second two-run home run that just wrapped around 302-ft Pesky’s Pole. Get them next time!
