Finnegan for the save
In addition to the red-hot Davis Schneider solo shot in the third, the Blue Jays did what they could to try and catch the Nationals scoring a run in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings, but to no avail. With Bo Bichette on the injured list for at least the next ten days, the Toronto lineup seems a bit thinner than usual, especially with their top hitters generally cold.
With a bases-loaded bottom of the ninth, the Blue Jays had the perfect opportunity to cash and grab the win, but Kyle Finnegan eventually shut them down.
