Vlad Jr’s first home homer
When you attend some random, Wednesday night game, you don’t expect that you will be in for a 13-innings, four-hour and twenty-minute match. Alas, such was my fate. After a solid 6-innings from both Aaron Sanchez and Rick Porcello, Boston’s one-run lead felt pretty secure. With the Blue Jays hitting in a funk, it was surprised that they clawed their way back and took the game into the 13th-inning.
In the top of the 13th, Michael Chavis squared up his tenth home run of the season to put the Red Sox up by one run, which was enough to beat Toronto who went three up and three down in the bottom of the inning.
Blue Jays fans got the opportunity to see Vladimir Guerrero Jr’s first home run at the Rogers Centre, which was a blast to deep centerfield.
