Bo-Bich-ette! Bo-Bich-ette!
After shelling the Blue Jays the previous evening, the Brewers were shut out by a cavalry of seven pitchers who gave up only three hits over nine innings. Danny Barnes was particularly strong, giving up no hits and striking out three over two innings. Sadly, his reward for such a solid performance was a trip to Buffalo to join the AAA Bisons squad.
When Bo Bichette came to bat in the ninth, the crowd had memories of the 2018 games, and we hoped to see something special. We all spontaneously broke out into “Bo-Bich-ette! Bo-Bich-ette!” which was beautiful. I’m happy to know that the small bit of recognition that we gave Bo resonated with him. The fans that night knew exactly what they were cheering for, and that’s a future all-star shortstop.
