1986 Season

World Series Champion

New York Mets

Mets over the Red Sox (4-3)
World Series MVP: Ray Knight (NYM)

While the rest of the baseball world was talking about the Curse of the Bambino and how it was a direct influence on the Bill Buckner Blunder, I was more concerned with something else. It was bittersweet but I was happy to see ex-Expos Gary Carter get to win a World Series. I wish that he got the chance to win one in Montréal.
