Pittsburgh Pirates 2 – Milwaukee Brewers 5

Brewers bullpen shines

Game Recap | Box Score

For the second day in a row, the Brewers got in a lot of work with Brent Suter leaving the game after just 3 innings. Over the next 6 innings, they managed to blank the Pirates, with their closer Corey Knebel coming in for the 9th to mop up for his 35th save of the season.

During the 2nd inning, I got what I was hoping for, an Eric Thames home run for his 29th of the season. The Brewers are still in the hunt for the Wild Card, as their chances of taking the division lead are becoming less and less likely.
